“About 2 years ago, I learned about this program from, of all things, a sign. I grew up in Snowflake, Arizona, was born in 1954 and diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1997. I never knew anything about this program until all these years later. After speaking with Kurt, I learned that I was eligible, so I sent him what I had to begin my filing. The research team would call me now and then for an update, or to ask for information on my parents so they could order social security records (which they paid for even before my claim was filed by the lawyer). I also ended up receiving old pictures of my father that the NCBC research team found. From the bottom of my heart, that money could not have come at a better time for me and my family. I got my tax-free money in just under 6 months. I truly hope the government decides to do something about the lack of exposure for this program, and votes to continue or increase the claim amount in the coming years.
